Swire Pacific (0019) is not ruling out the possibility of spinning off its hotel business even as it presses ahead with the development of more investment properties, chairman John Slosar said at a shareholders' meeting yesterday.
He made the remark in response to some shareholders who asked about the group's relatively poor hotel business.
Meanwhile, Road King Infrastructure (1098) shareholders are taking a positive view of the company's plan to spin off its highway business, chairman William Zen Wei-pao said. It expects to get a reply soon from the local bourse to its proposal, he said.
RKE International Holdings, which Road King plans to spin off, will focus on the mainland market, as well as on Belt and Road projects.
