Lo family row drags on

14/07/2017

The matriarch of the Lo family, which controls Great Eagle Holdings, yesterday claimed she had not received from HSBC International Trustee any report about the finances and charity work of the family trust being administered by the firm.

Lo To Lee-kwan said that when she and her late husband set up a family trust in 1984, it was stipulated that 10 percent of the trust should be allotted to charity work.

Her youngest son Lo Kai-shui claimed he got a brief report a few months ago only after Lo To pressed for one.

But Great Eagle (0041) chairman Lo Ka-shui denied the claim, saying reports on the charity group's finances and work had been given to Lo family members since it was set up in 2010.
