Swire Properties (1972) said its latest office development, One Taikoo Place in Quarry Bay, has been 100 percent pre-leased, with key tenants including law firm Baker McKenzie, social media company Facebook and auditing firm EY.
EY will take up eight floors, totaling 160,000 square feet, while Royal Bank of Canada will take two floors, totaling 44,000 sq ft.
Completed in September this year, One Taikoo Place is the first of two new triple Grade-A office towers in Swire Properties' HK$15 billion Taikoo Place redevelopment project.
Rents at its other office portfolios in the same district - One Island East, Cityplaza and Taikoo Place - rose between 6-7 percent in the third quarter compared with the same period a year earlier while office rents in Pacific Place in Admiralty rose 25 percent over the previous year.
Also, Swire is expanding its Pacific Place neighborhood with a new site adjacent to Three Pacific Place, according to a company spokesperson.
In the southern district, the spokesperson said its new Grade-A office building in Wong Chuk Hang has received its occupation permit, with 75 percent of office spaces pre-leased to a wide range of multinational companies.
