BOCHK to install finger vein authentication this year
Bank of China (Hong Kong) (2388) will launch finger vein authentication at all branches by year end.

The lender planned to apply the finger vein authentication in all branch counters and ATMs in stages, speeding up the authentication process, said Barry Lo Ping-wa, general manager of channel management.

The bank will also expand its "i-Service" video banking with 11 kinds of services, by opening two more branches entirely without counters.

It has no plan to cut staff as it will expand call centers, Lo said.
