New platform eases food delivery

10/01/2019

BBT, a Guangzhou-based logistics crowdsourcing platform, has formed a joint-venture with Shenzhen-based SF Express called Kin Shun Information Technology to improve delivery services in Hong Kong.

The firms said they have cooperated since July 2017 to provide delivery services in the SAR, with chain restaurants being their major customers for food delivery.

BBT had completed the first-round of financing worth US$10 million (HK$78 million) last February, with investors including former Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (0388) chairman Ronald Arculli, and Henderson Land (0012) vice-chairman Peter Lee Ka-kit.

BBT's platform supports one-click ordering, smart order assignment, customer service, service rating and insurance in multiple languages.
